Its water utility subsidiaries -- Pennichuck Water Works, Pennichuck East Utility, and Pittsfield Aqueduct -- distribute water in more than 30 communities, including the city of Nashua. Most of the company's water comes from a system of ponds. Nonregulated subsidiary The Southwood Corporation develops and sells real estate, and Pennichuck Water Service offers contract maintenance, testing, and billing services. In 2012 the company was acquired by the City of Nashua.
