Otto GmbH & Co KG has the mail-order business in the bag. The world's largest mail-order group sells merchandise in Germany and about 20 countries in Europe, North America, and Asia through more than 600 print catalogs, the Internet, and some 650 OTTO shops. The firm sells products from apparel to appliances to sporting goods. Otto also owns a majority stake in the Crate & Barrel housewares chain. The group's two other businesses -- financial services (EOS) and logistics and travel services (Otto Freizeit und Touristik Group), together contribute about 12% of sales.
