Oncologix Tech (formerly BestNet Communications) has changed gears. The company, which had developed a system using the Internet and text messaging networks to manage voice communications over public phone networks, merged with JDA Medical Technologies and sold off most of its telephone business assets to Interactive Media Technologies. Oncologix then became a development-stage medical device firm focused on developing microsphere (particle) technology to treat liver and other soft tissue cancers; however, the company licensed out most of its development operations in 2009 to a third party.
