Company Description
Okuma Holdings (formerly Okuma Corporation) grinds out machine tools for customers worldwide. The company's computerized numerically controlled (CNC) machining devices range from grinders and lathes, to machining center systems, electrical discharge machines, and flexible electronic manufacturing systems. Founded in 1898, Okuma also distributes pre-owned machines and provides refurbishing services for older machines in disrepair. The company has 13 overseas and six domestic companies; it operates in North America through US affiliate Okuma America Corporation and in Europe through Okuma Europe. The Okuma Technical Center East (Austria) is the sales and service base for the Eastern European market.
