NRG Media plays classic rock for Cornhuskers and talk radio for Packers. The media company owns 45 radio stations in the Midwest - mostly in Nebraska but also in Iowa, Illinois, and Wisconsin. With about a dozen AM and 30 FM stations, it serves up a wide mix of news/talk, country, urban, rock, and adult hits programming. NRG Media often owns several stations in one town, sharing office space and administration expenses while maintaining distinct on-air programming. President and CEO Mary Quass, a Radio industry veteran, started NewRadio Group in 2002, which merged with the radio assets of Waitt Media in 2005 to create the current NRG Media.
