Company Description
Founded in 1935 during the Great Depression, Norfolk State University (NSU) is today one of the nation's largest predominately black institutions of higher education. NSU is a four-year state-supported institution offering undergraduate degrees in about 30 disciplines. The school also offers 16 master's, and three doctoral degree programs. The school has roughly 7,000 students enrolled at its main campus (Norfolk, Virginia), and at its two satellite centers (Portsmouth and Virginia Beach, Virginia). About 6,100 of those are undergraduate students; the remainder are students pursuing graduate degrees. The majority of degrees conferred by the school are in liberal arts, followed by science and technology, and business.
