Company Description
Germany's third-largest wind turbine manufacturer is a regular cyclone of activity. Operating through subsidiaries around the world, Nordex builds and sells wind turbines and has more than 4,200 in use, generating more than 6,000 MW of electricity. Specializing in onshore power applications, Nordex engineers the wind turbine's overall technical design, its rotor blades, which can extend up to 45 meters long, and the integrated electrical and control systems. The company also designs and installs wind farms, connecting them to a grid, and provides maintenance services. More than 80% of sales come from Europe. Nordex was founded in 1985 and has operations in about 20 countries.
