Company Description

Niscayah Group is on guard. The company (formerly Securitas Systems before being spun off from its Swedish parent Securitas) designs and installs security systems for large and midsized companies. Its products include video surveillance, access control, burglary intrusion, and fire alarm systems. Niscayah's customers operate mainly in the high security risk banking, retail, and industrial sectors. The company has operations in more than 15 European countries, as well as Australia, Hong Kong, and the US. In 2008 it changed its name to Niscayah," which means "secure and reliable" in Sanskrit, to distinguish itself from Securitas. Stanley Black & Decker acquired Niscayah in September 2011 for about $1.2 billion.
