Company Description
Nippon Meat Packers (NMP) is one of Japan's top beef-, pork-, and chicken-processing firms. Its meat business comprises all stages of production, from raising the animals and making their feed to processing the meat to delivering it to customers. NMP also makes ham, sausage, and deli meat; it offers dairy foods (including Luna brand yogurt and foodservice cheese) and ramen noodles. Its marine farming unit supplies toppings and fillings for foodservice sushi. NMP, which makes probiotic beverages and a health drink called Celeb no Jikan (from pig placenta), has acquired Vietnamese firm Golden Pig Joint Stock Co. to become the first Japanese meat processor to make and sell products in the Southeast Asian country.
