Grate things come from Neenah Foundry. The company makes gray and ductile iron castings (such as iron tree grates and manhole covers) and forged components for the heavy municipal and industrial markets. Its lineup also includes bridge scuppers, curb inlets, floor drains, trenches, wheel guards, and other castings. Neenah products contain at least 85% recycled material from auto bodies and scrap iron. Founded in 1872, it sales offices and distribution yards dot about a dozen US states. Customers are architects, engineers, city and state governments, and utilities. Parent Neenah Enterprises filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy relief along with its subsidiaries in early 2010 and emerged in July of the same year.
