Company Description
The National Basketball Players Association (NBPA) knows who's got game. The organization is the labor union that looks after the interests and rights of the NBA's players. The NBPA's activities include negotiating the league's collective bargaining agreement, negotiating retirement and benefit services, assisting local charities, and mediating player grievances. It also includes the WNBPA, the first and only labor union for professional women athletes. The NBPA was created in 1954 when the Boston Celtics' Bob Cousy began organizing players and petitioning the league for players' rights.
