Company Description
NYSE Euronext is one of the world's largest exchange groups, boasting trades totaling about 40% of the global cash equities volume. It operates esteemed exchanges in the US and Europe, including the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), Euronext, NYSE Liffe, and NYSE Amex, formerly the American Stock Exchange. After years of buying up smaller exchanges, NYSE Euronext agreed to be acquired by Germany-based exchange operator Deutsche Börse in 2011.
