Subsidiaries Sierra Pacific Power and Nevada Power (which do business as under the NV Energy brand) provide electricity to 1.2 million customers and natural gas to 145,000 customers in Nevada and California. The utilities also generate about 3,150 MW of fossil-fueled capacity and sell power to wholesale customers in the western US.
