Company Description
NCI's buildings are quite a "steel." NCI Building Systems, also known as NCI Group, engineers, designs, manufactures, and distributes metal buildings and components (doors, roofs, walls, and trim) for non-residential construction markets in North America. It sells its products to contractors, developers, and builders. The group also provides steel coil coating, which is used by manufacturers of HVAC systems, lighting fixtures, and other products. NCI has about 30 manufacturing facilities in the US and Mexico; it also operates distribution and sales offices in the US and Canada. Investment firm Clayton, Dubilier & Rice took control of NCI Group in a 2009 financial restructuring transaction.
