Myrexis, Inc. Rankings
Company Description
Myrexis hoped to convince cancer cells to stop dividing and die with the destabilizing agent drugs in its pipeline. The pharmaceutical development firm's pipeline consisted of oncology compounds in clinical development and preclinical research stages, including drugs aiming to treat solid tumors and relapsed cancers. However, the company restructured its operations and slashed its workforce in 2011 after deciding to halt clinical trials on its leading candidate, Azixa (a metastatic tumor medication), in order to focus on its more promising early stage development compounds. Then, in early 2012, it halted all remaining development activities and announced plans to explore strategic alternatives.
