Company Description

Making money is a major motive behind Motiva Enterprises, which operates the eastern and southeastern US refining and marketing businesses of Shell Oil and Saudi Aramco. The company operates three refineries with a total capacity of 740,000 barrels a day, and it sells fuel at about 7,700 Shell-branded gas stations. It also has stakes in more than 40 refined product storage terminals (with almost 20 billion barrels of storage capacity) in the East and Gulf Coast regions. Motiva and sister company Shell Oil Products US, which operates in the West and Midwest, together make up the #1 US gasoline retailer. Motiva is a 50-50 joint venture of Shell and Saudi Aramco, the national oil company of Saudi Arabia.
