No paper tiger, Mitsubishi Paper Mills (MPM) claims to be the only manufacturer in the world to tackle the entire paper making process-- from wood selection to resign coating of base paper. Founded in 1898, the company produces, processes, and sells real-art (coated) paper for printing, wood-free paper, and publishing paper for books to brochures. Its lines include communication paper (carbonless and thermal paper), digital imaging media (photo-base and inkjet paper), as well as pulp and specialty lines (filters). MPM paper mills dot Japan and Germany. MPMs' core market is Asia, however it exports products worldwide. Manufacturing subsidiaries include Hachinohe Paper Processing and Asahi Diazo-Sensitive Paper.
