Don't let Micron Technology's name mislead you: The circuits on its chips are well under one micron across, but the company is one of the largest memory chip makers in the world. It makes DRAM (Dynamic Random Access Memory), NAND Flash, and NOR Flash memory and other memory technologies. The company sells to customers in networking and storage, consumer electronics, and mobile telecommunications, but the bulk of its sales are in the computer market. Intel and Hewlett-Packard are leading customers. Micron has manufacturing plants in Asia, Europe, and the US. About two-thirds of sales come from the Asia/Pacific region.
