With age comes experience, and Miami Jewish Home and Hospital for the Aged (MJH&H) is plenty experienced when it comes to geriatric care. The not-for-profit 460-bed nursing home and 30-bed hospital was formed in 1945 as a residence for widows. Decades later, MJH&H is home to more 700 seniors throughout the Miami area. Its facilities provide a variety of services, such as care for Alzheimer's patients, assisted and independent living, rehabilitation, hospice, and home health care. MJH&H also provides low-income apartments through its 95-unit Albert and Ann Jacobs Building designed for residents over the age of 62.
