Company Description
Everyone knows electricity can be dangerous, but Metal Storm Limited adds a whole new dimension to electrical danger. The company develops weapons and other systems that use electricity to fire projectiles electronically at a high rate of speed: theoretically, more than a million rounds a minute. Metal Storm's technology uses stackable 40mm bullets that fire from the barrel in sequence, outermost bullet first. Stacked projectiles can be arranged in any configuration and require only electricity (no firing pin) to fire. Their prototype handgun, the world's first totally electronic "smart gun," was developed for police and military to protect against theft by denying firing access to unauthorized users.
