The specialty drug firm makes a number of prescription remedies for colds and allergies, including its flagship product, Astelin nasal spray antihistamine. Meda makes therapies in other niche markets, such as central nervous system disorders -- its Felbatrol treats epilepsy -- and it is looking to expand into other areas such as women's health and dermatology. Its sales force targets doctors and hospitals in the US.
