MeadWestvaco (MWV) might say that most things are judged by their covers. MWV's packaging business -- folding cartons, corrugated boxes, and printed plastics -- serves many of the world's major brands. MWV wraps up healthcare, personal and beauty care, food, and tobacco, as well as home and garden goods. It makes school supplies, too, branded Mead, Five Star, and Trapper Keeper; consumer office products; AT-A-GLANCE and Cambridge labels; and specialty chemicals (activated carbons, and compounds for applications ranging from asphalt paving to printing inks). The lineup is produced in the Americas, Europe, and Asia. MWV also packages pharmaceuticals, and manufactures packaging equipment for dairy and beverage OEMs.
