McNeil Consumer Healthcare is best known for the pain reliever hospitals use most. The company, a subsidiary of pharmaceutical and health care giant Johnson & Johnson, is the largest producer of over the counter drugs and is responsible for the line of Tylenol branded medications. The company is the maker of other OTC products as well, including pain relievers and fever reducers Motrin and St. Joseph's Aspirin, anti-diarrhea medication Imodium A-D, dandruff shampoo Nizoral A-D, and sleep aid Simply Sleep. In 2008 the company launched an over-the-counter version of allergy drug Zyrtec, which its parent acquired with the acquisition of Pfizer's consumer health business.
