In fact, Tabasco actually created the pepper-sauce industry, and it remains a leader in its production and sale to this day. The sauce is distributed to foodservice clients (bars and restaurants) and food retailers in 160 countries. With a 600,000 bottle-a-day capacity Tabasco is labeled in more than 20 languages and dialects. McIlhenny also co-brands and produces other products such as pepper jelly, soy sauce, steak sauces, alcoholic beverages, and, not for the faint of heart, Tabasco lollipops.
