Company Description

Maxtek Components, a subsidiary of test equipment maker Tektronix, provides semiconductor design, packaging, and manufacturing services. In addition to Tektronix, Maxtek serves customers in the automated test equipment, imaging, medical equipment, and military/aerospace markets. The company traces its roots back to the formation of the Hybrid Components Organization (HCO) within Tektronix in 1970; HCO was formed to supply components for Tek instruments and test equipment. HCO was spun off as a joint venture between Maxim Integrated Products and Tektronix in 1994 and renamed Maxtek. Tektronix reacquired the company in 2000.
