Matech may detect cracks and fatigue in metal structural components. The company (formerly Material Technologies) develops instruments that detect cracks and metal fatigue in planes, cranes, ships, bridges, and other structures. The development-stage company's Fatigue Fuse attaches to structures to monitor fatigue at given points. Its Electrochemical Fatigue Sensor measures a member's remaining fatigue time and indicates cracks. Bridge testing accounts for all of Matech's sales. Matech is seeking to expand into Europe and South America -- where infrastructures are much older -- through its Matech International subsidiary.
