Company Description
Marcolin has convinced the glitterati that four eyes are better than two. The company makes designer eyewear and sunglasses under its own Marcolin brands and licensed labels, such as Cover Girl, Ferrari, Miss Sixty, Mont Blanc, and Tom Ford. Marcolin sells its frames and other products through more than 50,000 outlets in some 80 countries. Chairman Giovanni Marcolin Coffen founded the company in 1961; his twin sons, Cirillo and Maurizio, later joined him in the business. The Marcolin family owns about a third of the company, but brothers Andrea and Diego Della Valle now own more than 40% of it.
