The company's core asset is in the Brae area where it holds a 42% stake in the South, Central, North and West Brae fields, and a 38% stake in the East Brae field. It also has a 50% interest in the Scottish Area Gas Evacuation (SAGE) pipeline and processing system, a 27.8% interest in the Braemar Field near Aberdeen, and a minority stake in a Foinaven Field in the Shetlands. The strategic location of the company's Brae platforms and connecting pipeline infrastructure has enabled Marathon Oil UK to generate third-party processing and transportation business since 1986.
