Company Description

Majesco hopes to reign as king of video games over all its subjects, not just the gaming nobility. The company develops wider-appeal games primarily for Nintendo devices (about three-quarters of sales), as well as for PCs, mobile phones and tablets, consoles from Sony and Microsoft, and sites such as Facebook. Originally known for action titles such as BloodRayne (which it still produces) and Black & Bruised, it now concentrates on mass-appeal games. Its fastest-selling franchise, the dance-fueled Zumba Fitness, launched late 2010, has shown it has moves, selling more than six million units worldwide. The company's Cooking Mama franchise is still Majesco's crown jewel, though, at more than eight million units sold.
