The trust receives royalties based on the amount of oil (and gas) produced and sold and then distributes virtually all of the proceeds to shareholders on a regular basis. MV Partners, a private company engaged in the exploration, production, gathering, aggregation, and sale of oil and natural gas, has the rights to 80% of net proceeds.
