Major customers include automakers General Motors, Honda, and Nissan. In 2009 M-Tek won a $147 million contract from Volkswagen to supply interior door panels for VW's plant in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Founded in 1986, M-Tek operates from facilities in Alabama, Michigan, Mississippi, Ohio, and Tennessee that are located near the assembly plants of its customers. M-Tek is a subsidiary of Japanese auto parts maker Kasai Kogyo.
