Company Description

Lincoln Mercury is the division of Ford Motor that controls the dealerships that sell Lincoln brand cars, and used to sell Mercury models. The Mercury brand was discontinued in early 2011; its models absorbed into the Ford and Lincoln lines. Dealers will continue as stand-alone Lincoln dealerships, without Mercury sales. Ford will focus on developing and marketing its luxury Lincoln and its models (many of which now bear initials like the company's European competitors) like the Navigator, MKT and MKX crossovers, and the Mark LT upscale pickup, as well as the 2011 MKS, 2011 MKZ, and Town Car sedans. Mercury was originally designed as an upgrade to Ford in 1938.
