As a precision machined components maker, Linamar prides itself in getting only Cs. That is, it focuses on automotive engine parts -- cylinder blocks and heads, crankshafts, camshafts, and connecting rods. The company also makes transmission and driveline components, including gears and pinions, cases and housings, and axles. Linamar's Skyjack subsidiary makes mobile elevating work platforms. In 2007 Linamar bought a Mexican power transfer unit plant from Ford Motor. Skyjack was also on a shopping spree in 2007.
