Company Description

Limco-Piedmont wants to keep planes out of limbo while waiting for repairs. The company performs aircraft component maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) services for commercial and military planes, as well as air cargo carriers. Limco-Piedmont makes heat transfer equipment used in airplanes and offers inventory management and parts procurement for airlines. Parts services account for about one-quarter of the company's business. Major customers include the US government, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, Lufthansa, and Bell Helicopter. TAT Technologies, which previously owned about 62% of Limco-Piedmont, acquired the remainder of Limco-Piedmont's common stock in 2009.
