Land Securities (LandSecs) knows all about location, location, and location -- the company's late founder (Lord Harold Samuel) is credited with coining the phrase. The real estate investment trust (REIT) is one of the largest property development companies in the UK, with some 29 million sq. ft. of commercial space. Much of the company's portfolio is in central and inner London, including around 9.5 million sq. ft. of office space; the rest of its holdings are located throughout the UK. LandSecs' retail portfolio includes some two dozen shopping centers and another 20 retail parks, totaling more than 20 million sq. ft. of retail space. Notable properties include Piccadilly Lights and Queen Anne's Gate.
