LJ International makes gold, platinum, and sterling silver jewelry set with diamonds and colorful precious and semiprecious stones at its plant in Shenzhen, China. The company markets its jewelry primarily under the Lorenzo brand name to retailers in Europe and North America. LJ International offers loose gemstones and finished jewelry (about 50,000 styles of earrings, necklaces, pendants, rings, and bracelets). It sells jewelry through fine jewelers, discount chains, department stores, home-shopping channels, and in some 200 of its ENZO retail stores in China, Hong Kong, and Macau. LJ International plans to eventually spin off ENZO and sell a nearly 30% stake to private investors for about $40 million.
