Through operating subsidiary Kraton Polymers, the company makes styrenic block copolymers (SBCs), a material it invented in the 1960s. SBCs are used in adhesives, coatings, sealants, lubricants, packaging, and other applications across a range of industries such as roofing, medical, and personal care products (the rubbery grip on your toothbrush or razor handle, for example). It also sells isoprene rubber latex products (hypo-allergenic rubber gloves) to a niche market. Kraton sells more than 800 products in some 60 countries and has production facilities in North and South America, Asia, and Europe.
