Company Description
Kemira is hoping this whole "paperless office" concept doesn't take hold. The company makes many of the chemicals used in making the printed page: its bleaching chemicals whiten paper, its coating chemicals make papers firmer and easier to print on, its inks are used to print on papers, and its titanium dioxide is a white pigment used in papers and inks. Kemira also manufactures water-treatment chemicals. Other operations include chemical solutions for municipal and industrial operations, and extractions and process solutions for oil and mining. The company maintains research and development centers in Finland, China, Brazil, and the US.
