Company Description
Konami hopes you find its business amusing. The company is a diversified entertainment company making video games for PCs and dedicated consoles, token-operated arcade games, pachinko and slot machines, card games, and toys and hobby products. Konami software includes titles from the Metal Gear, Silent Hill, Dance Dance Revolution, and Yu-Gi-Oh! series, as well as classic hits such as Castlevania. The company also operates more diverse business lines such as making health-related equipment, and operating and managing the largest fitness center chain in Japan. Three-quarters of Konami's sales come from Japan. President and CEO Kagemasa Kozuki founded Konami in Japan in 1969 and controls about 45% of the company.
