Johnston Boiler is an integrated boiler manufacturer offering turnkey services for US and international industrial customers. The company makes water-back, firetube, and 3- and 4-pass steam and hot water boilers, as well as deaerators, surge tanks, and blow down heat recovery systems. Johnston Boiler boasts of manufacturing the world's largest Scotch marine firetube boiler. Its patented FIR (forced internal recirculation) burners reduce NOx (nitrogen oxide) and CO (carbon monoxide) emissions from natural gas combustion. West-Michigan investor Larry Hines acquired control of the company in 1987.
