Company Description
Jaya Tiasa's businesses are growing, and, one might even say, soaring. The company owns timber operations, oil palm plantations, and a small helicopter chartering service. Its timber products include round logs, sawn timber, plywood, blockboard, and veneer, all produced from the trees grown on almost 2 million acres of forest in Malaysia. Jaya's wood products are exported to the Asia/Pacific, the US, the Middle East, Europe, Latin America, and the Caribbean. The company also has a reforestation operation, which grows and sells tree seedlings. Jaya Tiasa's newest venture is palm oil. It is developing more than 200,000 acres of plantation land and plans to operate six palm oil mills by 2014.
