Company Description
Itella (formerly Finland Post) still delivers the mail in Finland, but much has changed since the company first undertook that task more than 370 years ago. Besides mail delivery, which accounts for about half of the company's sales, Itella provides logistics (supply chain management and freight forwarding) and information logistics (database management and direct mail) services. It operates primarily in Finland, but also in more than 10 other countries. The Posti brand familiar to Finns is still used for the company's domestic mail service. The company changed its name to Itella in 2007. The government-owned company's history dates back to 1638, the year its first postal route was established.
