Company Description

Isonics provides security systems, personnel, and investigative and security services through subsidiary Protection Plus Security Consultants. Formerly it had developed products based on stable and radioactive isotopes for biomedical research, medical imaging, and cancer therapy. In 2007, however, Isonics sold its Life Sciences division, which had conducted the isotopes business, and now concentrates on security products and services. This new focus began back in 2004 when it bought a small Washington State-based company, EnCompass Materials Group, that manufactures silicon wafers. The business now accounts for about a third of sales.
