Its main hub is the airport in Tehran, but one of three secondary ones is in Dubai in the United Arab Emirates. The carrier operates a fleet of 25 planes, including Fokker 100 and Boeing 727 jets as well as ATR-72 turboprops. Iran Aseman, founded in 1980, transports about 2.5 million passengers a year. (Aseman is the word for "skies" in Farsi, Iran's national language.)
