A member of The Midwest Independent Transmission System Operatorthe company provides wholesale power to the regional power grid operator at market rates. IPALCO's nonregulated subsidiary, Mid-America Capital Resources, has an interest in a small venture capital fund. IPALCO is a subsidiary of AES, a top independent power producer.
