Invensys Rail Corporation (formerly Safetran Systems) would rather switch than do most anything else. Invensys Rail Corp. is the products segment of Invensys Rail, which is one of three divisions within parent Invensys plc. It manufactures railroad switch, signal, and railroad-highway crossing warning systems. Its customers include the National Railroad Passenger Corporation (better known as AMTRAK) and the transit operations of Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, and New York City. Invensys Rail Corp.'s products represent about 20% of the annual revenues of the rail division, which generates more than 30% of its parent's revenues. It has core markets in Australia, Iberia, and North America.
