Instron can tell you if your material is strong. Instron makes instruments, systems, and software for testing the mechanical properties and performance of ceramics, composites, metals, plastics, rubber, and textiles. Instron's static systems measure the amount of continuous force needed to deform a material. Its dynamic systems simulate in-use conditions over time by stretching, compressing, and twisting materials and components such as automotive steering systems. Other products include durometers and hardness testing systems. The company was founded in 1946 by Harold Hindman and George Burr.
