The company, a part of the Baogang Group, makes steel rods, beams, columns, and plates along with heavy tracks, square steel, and seamless pipes. The Baogang Group produces about five million tons of steel products each year, a significant percentage of which consists of steel rails for China's high-speed train system. It also operates a rare earth mine that produces niobioum and thorium.
