    The Ingalls family could have used an Ingles market near its little house on the prairie. Ingles Markets operates about 200 supermarkets, primarily in suburbs, small towns, and rural areas of six southeastern states. The stores largely operate under the Ingles name; about six operate as Sav-Mor. In addition to brand-name products, Ingles has Laura Lynn and Ingles Best private labels. It owns a milk, fruit juice, and bottled water plant that supplies about 80% of its milk and sells the excess to other retailers and distributors. It also owns more than 70 shopping centers, more than three-quarters of which contain an Ingles store.
