Its products include absorption systems, recording studios, jet-engine test cells, and sound-control doors. IAC serves the architectural, air-conditioning, industrial, power-generation, and aviation markets in more than 50 countries throughout the world. In 1998 the company, a subsidiary of IAC Holdings, went private after an unnamed European investor bought its remaining public shares. Martin Herschorn founded the company in 1949.
